Eyjafjallajokull and Thorsmork Experience

The day starts at your hotel where you will take your seat in the 38" modified Hilux and drive off to your adventure in Iceland. 

We´ll take the main road east from Reykjavík through the mountains of Hellisheiði plateau and along the south coast passing small Icelandic farms all the way to the foot of the world famous Eyjafjallajökull volcano. Your guide will show you the way and how best to enjoy the special features the Hilux has to offer. We stop at Seljalandsfoss waterfall where the brave ones can take a walk behind the waterfall as it falls from the 60 meters high cliffs. After driving between two glaciers on the rutted tracks and crossing few unbridged glacier rivers we arrive at the lush Þórsmörk valley at the foot of Mýrdalsjökull glacier and Katla volcano. There you have the option of doing a hiking tour or more driving on the rough mountain tracks.

From Þórsmörk we drive to the beautiful waterfall Skógafoss. Then we go down to the black lava sand beaches where we admire the power of the North Atlantic Ocean with the waves crashing on the beach right in front of us, before we head back to Reykjavík.
