Pamukkale Day Trip from Istanbul Including Flights

You will be picked up from your Sultanahmet or Taksim Hotel at approximately 5.00am and Transferred to Ataturk domestic airport for your flight to Denizli (approximately 1 hour flying time).

On arrival in Denizli you will be met by our driver and transferred to Pamukkale where you will have time for a cup of coffee before your tour starts at 9.30am.

The ancient Greco-Roman city of Hierapolis, now a UNESCo World Heritage site, as well as Pamukkale's famous white travertines (calcium pools) have been used as a spa since the 2nd century BCE, with people travelling great distances to soothe their ailments or retire here.

The impressive Necropolis, the largest graveyard in the ancient world, with over 1200 tombs attests to the importance of Hierapolis in ancient times.

Your Pamukkale day tour begins with a visit to the red springs in the nearby village of Karahayit. We then enter Hierapolis from the North Gate, visiting the Necropolis, Bath and Basilica, Frontinius Gate, Frontinius Street, Latrina, Northern Byzantine Gate, Fountain of the Tritons and the Temple of Apollon.

You will be given free time to swim in the Cleopatra Antique Thermal Pool (admission fee extra) and will finish the Hierapolis portion of the tour with a visit to the large and well-preserved Theatre.

We finish the tour with a visit to the Travertines (white calcium pools) where you will have time to take pictures and wade in the water. After leaving the site, we will have a late lunch, and then you will be dropped back to our office.

You will have a little bit of time to explore the village of Pamukkale, before departing back to the airport at 5.00pm.

On arrival in Istanbul you will be met by our driver and transferred back to your hotel.
