Why have dinner at just one restaurant when you can spread it out over a few hours and eat at several places? On our Dinner Walk dinner is not just dinner, but an opportunity to explore some of Budapest’s liveliest neighbourhoods (while steering clear of the tourist traps) in the company of a food guide who can share her expertise, offer you a curated selection of the best dishes, and tell you all about what is on your plate (and where exactly the ingredients came from). Starting with some local cheese and an aperitif to wash it down with at a wine shop, we will eat and drink our way around town, grazing on a variety of dishes over the course of the evening. We will visit five or six venues, where we will introduce you to some of Budapest’s most exciting foods and drinks. In addition of tasting some delicious dishes and drinks, we will have plenty of time to chat about life in Budapest, Hungarian cuisine, the food and wine culture, and the dynamic restaurant and bar scene in Budapest (which has undergone lots of exciting changes over the past decade). Be sure to come hungry and thirsty. In addition to eating plenty, you’ll also have the chance to taste a number of different drinks (including wine, sparkling wine, Pálinka, and Fröccs). Let us show you where and what the locals eat. We promise, you’ll end up loving the Budapest evening vibes as much as we do.

Learn—Discover traditional Hungarian cuisine, soups, pastries, and dessert. Fill your brain (as well as your stomach), while your guide discusses many aspects of Hungarian cuisine and culture and Budapest life.

Experience—Eating and drinking like a local.

Wine & Drinks—Taste several types of wine (including sparkling), Fröccs (if you do not know what that is, you’ll know by the end of the tour!), and Pálinka.

Food—The tour includes dinner composed of several traditional Hungarian dishes, including Gulyás soup, cured sausages and ham, grilled meat, Lángos, and different pastries and sweets.

See—While wandering the backstreets in a few different neighbourhoods, there will be visits to several different eateries—from a butcher shop to a restaurant—and and few drinking spots—from a wine bar to a ruin bar.
