Are you ready to learn all the secrets of the real Spanish paella? Not the one in the restaurant, but the one served at home following mom’s recipe! Partake in a unique experience directly in the heart of one of the most authentic districts in Barcelona: Gracia. A special mom, local guide, and exceptional chef will take you through an amazing journey of flavors and traditions straight into her fabulous home and garden. Get involved in the preparation of the most typical dish of Spanish gastronomy, "la paella", and discover the secrets that have been handed down from one generation to the next. You are offered a real, local gastronomic and cultural experience which includes: preparation and cooking of the traditional paella and typical tapas, wine and food tasting, and - above all - an authentic and precious moment of social and cultural exchange. All of this nestled in a breath-taking location, hidden in the heart of Barcelona and out of the most common tourist routes.
To start the process a slow-cooked sofrito and the stock will be prepared, two of the keys for the perfect paella. While waiting for this to be ready, you will have some time to learn how to prepare some Spanish tapas as a snack. Once finished you will start the paella cooking itself. You will learn the key tips of this worldwide known dish so that you will be able to take a piece of this local gastronomy to your homeland and share it with your friends. All this is cooked with fresh ingredients from the farmer's market of the Sagrada Familia and with the passion of a Spanish foodie.
