Sobre esta atividade
Amsterdam has been synonymous with fine are since the Dutch Golden Age of the 17th century. Although lfie art had been a developing discipline for many years in The Netherlands, it was Amsterdam’s favourite son, Rembrandt Van Rijn, who revolutionised this art form.

Rembrandt’s most famous works, such as what is perhaps his most brilliant portrait masterpiece, Portrait of Jan Six, are life art pieces. Rembrandt’s portraits are often remembered for their immortalising famous and influential figures from the Dutch Golden Age, typified by one of his most recognisable works, The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp. However Rembrandt was prolific – he painted hundreds of portraits, slowly perfecting techniques which would permanently alter the practices of the artistic world.

At our life art drawing class you will receive a short talk on the history of life art, and will be shown examples of the different kinds of work, both realist and impressionist, that charcaterise this fascinating artistic discipline.
